with No Comments

Exclusive for Podcrashers:

On January 26, 1972, JAT Airways Flight 367 broke up in air and crash landed in a wooded area near the village of Srbská Kamenice in Czechoslovakia (now Czechia), killing 27of the 28 people onboard. While it was later determined the crash was likely caused by a terrorist’s bomb when it exploded in the baggage hold, much of the media attention was on the crash’s sole survivor. In this layover episode of Take to the Sky: The Air Disaster Podcast, we explore the story Vesna Vulović, and how she transformed from a miracle survivor into an outspoken advocate for democracy during the Yugoslav wars.
